Truth is....I don't follow my own advice
One of the most common questions I get at markets is:
"Can I wear this in the water?"
"Can I wear this while sweating or hiking?"
"Can I wear this in the water?"
"Can I wear this while sweating or hiking?"
Here’s the honest answer:
Technically, it’s recommended not to wear jewelry in water or during intense activity—but that kind of defeats the point of why I design certain pieces in the first place. And honestly? I don’t fully follow that rule myself.

You should absolutely wear your jewelry while hiking in the mountains, swimming in a lake, or taking a post-workout shower—with one important exception: pieces that contain stones.
Here’s why:
Water, soaps, and sweat can seep underneath a stone and gradually weaken the setting or even damage the stone itself. Stones can be more fragile too and could break if you accidentally hit it on something. If you want your piece to last for years, it’s best to take it off before showering or swimming.

So what do I wear 24/7—even in the water?
My go-to stacker rings and threader earrings. They’re durable, low-maintenance, and made to keep up with an active lifestyle. I don’t take mine off, and they’ve held up beautifully.

So yes, some jewelry is better left off during certain adventures—but other pieces are made for them.
