Create your own stacker rings in this short but engaging workshop!

You will start by measuring your ring size, and I will walk you through how to measure, file, and solder your stackers. You can create as many as you want in the 2 hours (and as many as you want to pay for). You will have the choice between silver, goldfilled, or pattern silver wire. I will walk you through how to add textures to your bands, if you want too!

By the end of class, you’ll leave with beautiful, handcrafted stackers you’ll be proud to wear, plus the foundational metalsmithing skills to continue building your craft.

No prior experience is necessary. This class is for 18+ only.

Date and Time

Friday, February 27th from 6-8 pm

What to Expect

This is an intimate, small-group workshop (2–4 participants) for a personalized, hands-on experience. Each participant will have their own workstation at a shared table. We’ll share soldering torches (butane and/or acetylene) and a Flex Shaft.

The studio is located in a shared artist space inside a converted warehouse garage in Sugarhouse. It’s full of creative energy and charm — but bring layers in the winter months! There’s a shared restroom in the building.

What’s Included

  • 2 hours of guided instruction

  • Use of all tools and equipment in the studio

  • Solder and other consumable materials

Materials & Costs

Due to the constant change of the precious metal market, silver and goldfilled are NOT included in the class tuition. Expect to spend an additional $15-30, depending on how much metal you use. I charge my wholesale rate for silver. You can pay this with cash, card, or venmo at the end of the workshop. Please see the second photo in this description for an idea of how much each design will cost.

You’ll Learn

  • Sawing

  • Forming

  • Soldering

  • Polishing

Location

My studio is located in Sugarhouse in SLC, UT near 2220 S and 600 E, right off the S-Line. Because Google Maps can be unreliable here, I’ll send detailed directions and parking info one week before class. There’s limited parking in the alleyway and additional street parking on 600 E.

If you have any accessibility needs, please email me at crookedtrailssilver@gmail.com

  • Layers for warmth during winter months
